Horse Riding
There are many riding stables in North Devon, our closest is Dean Riding Stables. They are an approved yard, within the Exmoor National Park. They have quality, well mannered horses and ponies, offer escorted hacking and instruction for all ages and levels, nervous and novice are especially welcome. Riding Holidays and Livery are also available. We offer 10% discount on our rides to all Coulscott guests providing they are booked in advance, subject to availability. Golf
There are many excellent golf courses in North Devon catering for every ability from beginner to scratch player. Some are very informal and others insist on strict etiquette. Courses nearby include Saunton Sand Golf Course (the links are of championship standard), Ilfracombe Golf Club, Mortahoe and Woolacombe Golf Club, Willingcott Valley, Portmore Golf Park (including driving range), The Royal North Devon and Libbaton Golf Club. Surfing
The surfing in North Devon is amongst the best in Britain. The beaches offer surfing for a wide range of abilities, from the beginner to the expert. Surfing beaches nearby include Croyde, Woolacombe, Putsborough, Saunton Sands, Westward Ho!, Bucks Mill, Speaks Mill, Lynton and Porlock Wier. Cycling
North Devon has an exceptional selection of cycle tracks with something to suit everyone - from the most inexperienced beginner to the most experienced mountain biker. Walking
Exmoor has hundreds of miles of superb footpaths and bridle ways, some are short and gentle whilst others are long distance. Many of the walks are near the coast with fabulous views. Click here for more information.
