Septic Tank:
We have a septic tank system and are not on mains sewage.

Water:
Water in all properties and the swimming pool comes from a borehole. It is processed - without chemicals - on site.

Recycling:
We ask our guests to recycle as much as possible and have a dedicated recycling area. Please see our page on recycling for more details.

Parking:
Each cottage has a certain number of parking spaces allocated to it and if more are required it must be discussed in advance as in peak season there may not be room on site for extra cars.

Old Farmhouse - 2 Spaces
Peacock, Aylesbury and Bantam Cottages - 1 space each

Guest Lists:
Only guests listed on the booking form may stay overnight or use the facilities, we reserve the right to charge for unauthorised overnight stays and to ask guests to leave.

Grounds:
We have 12 acres of gardens and fields for guests to use, however please do not cross into our neighbours fields.. A map is provided to show private areas of the site and our boundaries.

Fire:
In case of fire, please evacuate the buildings as fast as possible taking account of all members of your party. Dial 999 and say the fire is at Coulscott on Nutcombe Hill, Combe Martin. The nearest fire station is in Combe Martin on the High Street.

Police and Ambulance:
The nearest stations are in Ilfracombe, dial 999 and say you are at Coulscott on Nutcombe Hill, Combe Martin.

Doctor:
There is a health centre in Combe Martin located at the top of the village on corner of Castle Street & Victoria Street Tel: 01271882406. Out of hours Tel: 01271 824600.

Dentist:
We do not know of any specific dentist which takes emergency patients but provide a list of local dentists for guests to try.

Hospitals:
North Devon District hospital is located in Barnstaple.

Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted in any of the properties under any circumstances.

Pets:
We are happy to accept dogs at Coulscott, they must be well behaved dogs, only following prior discussion and agreement at the time of booking - before we accept your booking you must let us know the breed and age of your dog. Please see our pets page for more information.

Fireworks, Dyes, Felt pens, Candles and Wax crayons:
None of the above are allowed.

Semi - Permanent Hair Dyes:
If any member of a party has semi permanent hair dye we ask them to bring their own towels as the dye will not wash out and ruins ours.

Damages:
Please inform us of all damages before you leave. The booking member of the group booking is responsible for payment of all damages. Furniture must not be moved from its original position.

Barbeques:
All properties other than Bantam cottage have a barbeque in their private terrace or garden.

Banks:
There is a Lloyds TSB bank in Combe Martin - it is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ilfracombe and Barnstaple have branches of most other major banks and have more normal opening hours. The nearest free cash points are in Ilfracombe - there are Link machines in several shops in Combe Martin.

Post Office:
There is a post office in Combe Martin, on the High Street, which has normal opening hours.
